Yes I would date one.

Most psychologists and counsellors have (or had) some mental health issues, but that might not be a good thing? Depends what you’re looking for in a partner I guess.

I guess I would be worried that I wouldn’t have the education or income to keep up… but that’s me.

I don’t think being a therapist/psychologist is a deal breaker. They’re probably better at communication and understanding

I don’t see that as a problem. I would expect them to probably be an understanding person.

They did an episode about this on the show Frasier. For those that didn’t watch that show Frasier was a psychiatrist and in one episode he dated someone who had a mental illness. It was a funny episode.

I would date a psychologist as long as she wasn’t trying to “fix” me all the time. I do like learning new things so if she told me something about my condition that could help I would appreciate that. However, i wouldn’t want our relationship to revolve around me being mentally ill.
