Invega works great for positive symptoms but my negative symptoms are bad and it’s been causing me depression. However I started an antidepressant for that and I’m starting to see an improvement. I muted all those horror stories about invega.
I switched from Risperdal to Vraylar and suffered a psychotic break and had to be hospitalized.
Be very careful @TheBest.
Yeah you seem a whole lot better @Qwerty glad you are doing well on an antidepressant.
I’m pretty certain that would happen to me as well @Wave
Are you still on vraylar or did they switch you after your break.
I’m on Risperdal Consta shots and I’m at ideal body weight. It’s possible. I just watch my calories very closely with a calorie counting app. I’ve been doing this for the last three years. It works.
I take Risperidone tablets as well it increased my hunger.
Have you tried to eat more veggies @TheBest ?
I was hungrier on the Risperdal pills than I am on the shots.
I’m back on Risperdal @unknown.
I lived off fruits and tuna and lost 30 lbs got down to 250 lbs. That’s only because I was using metamucil.
I eat either a half of a dinner plate of mixed veggies, or two cups of dark green salad every day at dinner.
idk, I drink coffee, tea and beer, so that’s my stomach.
I take Risperdal for repetitive thoughts too, but I hate the weight gain and how I have to take Wellbutrin to help with how low it makes me feel. I’ve asked to try something else, but my nurse practitioner says she doesn’t think anything else will be as effective.
I tried tapering down on my own, but the thoughts came back.
My pdoc said that risperdal don’t put weight on me.
I think she meant that my actions do.
Yeah I definitely don’t want those thoughts coming back @anon1517417.
Yeah I’m extremely hungry on it. Exercising used to be my life and now I can’t do it anymore.
you gotta run on it, there’s no other way.
maybe swim too.
do they mean inactions?
I started slow, walking fast, then gradually doing more
I only do yoga for 35 minutes every day and that seems to be enough for me to keep my weight down, along with calorie counting.
