Was on 75mg, it was increased to 100mg last week because of psychosis and paranoid delusions. They put me on Zyprexa 5mg for one week until the invega started to work. Would the extra invega kick in within one week and stop the psychosis considering I have been on 75mg before for 15 months?
Last week I was paranoid. One week later I feel fine. i’m a little embarrassed and depressed. It was acute psychosis I had but the increase seemed to work, is that normal within one week or is it like a placebo effect and ‘it’s’ going to come back with vengeance, thats what I’m worried about.

I think by a week you would notice the difference in dosage.

I was full fledged psychosis and put in the hospital on Invega and was released 3 weeks later fully normal. It took about 2 weeks for the psychosis to dissipate. So I can definitely see 1 week being a magic number for some people.
Watch out tho I hate invega and I think this will be my last dose until I try latuda. The side effects of invega are horrible but maybe it works for u. I guess give it some time if you’re close to your last psychosis.
Cool. When I changed from invega sustenna 75 mg to the equivalent I believe it’s 268mg invega trinza I noticed the difference pretty quick. I was more sedated, but my bodies adjusting and now I love trinza. Sustenna was good too but I found the hangover from the injection was pretty bad for like 3 to 4 days. Now on trinza it’s only once every 3 months so I don’t have to go through that as much, and it’s not as bad.
Benefits usually take up to 6 weeks. That is a pretty good guide to getting some effective treatment. Everyone is different and drugs are too so you may find alleviation of symtpoms much sooner.
