Is it possible just 2 months after?

I got invega sustenna increase in the beginning of March. Reasons are a week and 1/2 before it was due, I’d start to relapse, cognitively, emotionally, with my moods, insight, sleeping pattern, snappiness towards people, driving my mom nuts. Lost motivation, had no goals because I was dealing with symptoms. So I got the increase and it lasted till like 3-4 days b4 it was due.

I got that dose in the beginning of April again, and here I am a week before, and I can’t sleep for the life of me. Other issues.

I don’t want to start dampering relationships that I do unintentionally. Hopefully it doesn’t get that bad again.

My question is, does It take awhile for shot increases to work or is it just going to keep losing its effectiveness sooner and sooner each time I get it?

My metabolism takes medicine and eats it up so fast…

ive been on invega sustenna 234mg once a month for about 6 years or so.

this is something i have been dealing with since i began receiving this medicine, is what you were talking about. usually the 4th week is the most difficult and i too cant sleep when it wears off on the last week before its due.

i use to take a oral haldol pill when it was wearing off and the first time i did that i remember telling my therapist the effect was one of complete tranquility whereas my exact analogy i gave to my therapist was it was like i was walking through a woods in the winter time and all of a sudden i stumble upon a hot spring in the ground that is very warm and i sank into it to feel the relief when i took my haldol when the shot wore off on the 4th week.

unfortunately due to my reaction to haldol it gave me ocular gyric crisis as a side effect. and what ocular gyric crisis is is not long after i took the haldol pill my eye balls would roll upwards into my head and i couldnt move them they were stuck. it was very uncomfortable and even scary one time when i was driving, had to pull over and wait for it to pass.

nowadays i dont take a oral pill to help with the wearing off i just tough it out. but perhaps you might be able to find an AP that will help you on your final week leading up to the shot that does not have any serious side effects.

Sorry to hear that happened to you. Thanks for getting back to me. I was trying to get in touch with my facility yesterday, and today my case manager was supposed to call. She did, and I missed the call :triumph:. I called back like 5 mins later and I got her voice mail, I was like screw that. Obviously they don’t think what has been going on with me is dire, so I’ll just wait till I see my therapist next week

Have you already been on clozaril? That’s my other option or trying amyloban 3399 with invega

I told you about how that happened to me and I switched to getting the shot every 3 weeks. That’s the only way to avoid it wearing off or get risperdone prn to take when it wears off.

@anon4362788 I know I want an easy fix. My pdoc wants to wait and wait… She already contemplated increasing it before I even got the increase. She said, if this doesn’t work, 3 weeks, just have to write to your insurance so they don’t think I’m over medicating. So I dunno why they aren’t making a change. I can’t ever make a decision when it comes to my meds there. I should be able to advocate but it’s like they won’t listen to shiiiit

Nope not clozaril

I want to try that amyloban, but with every supplement I go on, I have to ask the pdoc, and they never even said anything about sarcosine. They won’t let me go on it, I can’t even take Benadryl. I have to get blood work one of these days, I have the paper and I don’t really know what they are testing for.

I’m ready to order some l-theanine for stress and motivation before I try any antidepressants.

That’s good. ADs suck. They made me so psychotic and unstable

Do you get any flat feeling when you are manic on invega? I’m just laying on bed not feeling any joy to do anything

Frequently. I’ve been on it since October and it does happen but I hold on to the manic high energy days where my spirits are lifted. The flat days happen but I block them out cause they are so disabling and uncomfortable. Today I feel good

Helps some for the mood to drink hot tea and wear winter clothing.

Well the one day it was in the 70s recently and I was shivering, put a sweatshirt and pants on and my mind was ■■■■■■■ racing. So I guess I did cope with mania that way already

I think I’m just in the dopamine limit where I start hallucinating voice from tv. Its faint but still bothers me as annoying mockery

Dopamine limit? What does that mean? It’s good it’s not clear voices and more like background noise. That tells you the meds are working

I hate when I relapse on the injection before it’s due and then I get internal voices that mess up my thought process so I can’t think at all.

Point where I may just have to raise my serotonin level
