Worried Invega isn't working as well

I am having a lot of anxiety and extreme laziness due to non-motivation. I haven’t showered in a week. I do some dishes because we have to have something to eat off of. Today I went back to bed after the kids went to school, got up at 11, ate lunch and went back to bed until 2:30.

I don’t like being like this and can’t stop ruminating. Everything gets stuck 8n my head. Maybe I need to actually take my lamictal but i don’t know if that would help the anxiety.

I was having a lot of problems with motivation due to depression for the last two months. I have been working my way up to the full dose of Lamictal and i’m now at 150mg, the target dose my pdoc wanted to try me on. I don’t know if it would help with what you’re dealing with but it might be worth a try. I’ve felt better for a couple days and took a shower today after a week.

I am supposed to take 100mg but stopped because I felt flat.

Have you talked to your pdoc about it? Is it depression or do you think it’s more of a negative symptom thing?

He said with the negatives it is a choice of fighting through.

I d8dn’t mention tthe lamictal because I don’t want to come across as noncompliant. When I guess I am…I even forget meds unless it is an injection.

Yeah it can be hard to remember to take the meds. I have to use one of those daily pill containers so I can tell if I’ve taken them each day. If I didn’t i’d forget half the time and take too much the other half of the time.

I know they say the meds don’t really work for the negatives. I guess it’s just a matter of struggling through it. Just try and make small goals as much as possible and don’t overwhelm yourself. I know you have a family and have a lot of stuff to do. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks.
.i have a pill box but I even forget with it.

Haven’t you been on invega for quite awhile though?

About 7 months now.

Well you have a lot to do in the day and it’s really impressive that you keep on doing it. My mom is 54, and is mentally healthy but has IC, a bladder disease. She is on pain medication for it, and she never let it stop her from doing what moms do. She just started venting more often, which I didn’t mind, I do it to, we have a lot to vent about.

I hope you feel better soon. I got double vision a couple times from Lamictal so they switched me off of it, I am on Depakote now, which I think is similar? It’s a mood stabilizer that gives me heartburn but keeps me stable.

I hope you feel better soon.

I’m on invega and an anti depressant alongside it helps somewhat as well as walking each day. I hope you feel better soon.
