Working out?

I could not climb up the stairs after one hour of zumba class.
I am so out of shape

I could not of any of the moves right. It was a disaster. If someone watched me, they would burst out laughing.

We even danced on Despasito

But I did it and it feels good. Back home, I ate my high fibre cereal and an apple and took my meds.

Tomorrow Hot Yoga :grinning: I wonder how I will do that !!

You have to take it slowly, step by step if you haven’t been physically active for a long time.

Awwww don’t feel bad about not knowing the Zumba moves. We all have to start somewhere, ya know. And that’s what the teachers are there for

When I was in the military, one of our leaders made us group of dudes do aerobics one day.

We were in this room laying on our stomachs doing “flutter-kicks” Hahahaha! I had to fight so hard from laughing. :joy:

yeah unfortunately they have not created beginner classes. All are the same class so I need to start somewhere.
Tomorrow if my legs still hurt, I’ll skip till friday.

If your legs hurt then it’s a sign that you got to get back in shape. Get some rest and heal up till your next activity.

Its not sexy.

You go in a room where the temperature is ungodly, like in the 90s.

Then you do pretty intense yoga,

Not the calm your mind and body kind.

Like the, you’re going to feel this tomorrow kind.

It lasts for about 30 mins longer than it should,

Then you go home and try to get your sports bra off until you give up and lay on the cool tile of your bathroom.

At least that’s what happens when I go.

it is called Bikram

With the elevated temperature, that doesn’t sound like a very safe workout. :frowning:

I’ll do a 30-40 min run over a hot yoga room any day.

Hot temperature room doesn’t provide a person with a lot of cool air to breathe.

I recommend martial arts unless you have trouble concentrating or hallucinate a bit more than average. anybody here able to concentrate and follow instructions without drifting off too easily? (might post something that might help)

gotta keep on it… just do a few squats without weights and jog in place for a few minutes every morning.

Seriously, with adequate protein and vitamins just 10 to 15 minutes of activity a day will keep a person strong.

A lot of people don’t like pushing themselves and I’m one of them…

it really does take facing that pressure at least in the slightest, but more importantly not overdoing it, because just a few days off for someone who is new to working out will totally destroy their discipline and concern for the matter.

Building firm tone physique is about doing exercises slowly… it’s not about reps or weight… it’s about form and really letting the body adjust to the expectation of slow firm pressure whenever and wherever is needed.

You can have strength that can pop and fissure or weakness that just keeps going… ultimately what wins is balance… moderate strength with good endurance that keep up with the work load for hours on end if needed.

What I’m saying is that oyu are probably just over doing it trying to squeeze all that working out down into an hour.
