I’ve found over the years that working out or at least some sort of physical movement really helps me in dealing with the challenges of sz.. Anyone else find that combining the physical with the mental or more of a holistic approach help with their challenges of mental illness.
I take traditional meds and therapy but I so exercise like a madman too. It helps.

I am determined to get fitter. I am just too big to use the gyms equipment so I am going to start walking. I live in the country so there are many nice places to go.
I used to run ten miles a day and could leg press a full stack. I would love to get anywhere near that again.
Definitely kicks up the feel good endorphins. I recently started lifting weights using a app on my smartphone called Bodyspace. It’s pretty cool. You pick a routine program to follow and it tells you what to do at the gym and tracks your progress. It has videos of how to do the lifts properly and timer for in between sessions reps and sets.
I need to get back to this. Fell off the fitness wagon AGAIN. Damn it.

Don’t be to harsh on yourself. Just try to get back out there and move!
I’ve found that anti-psychotic medication makes it really hard for me to do a vigorous workout. When I’m not on AP’s though, a good workout makes me feel real good. I’ve been walking back and forth briskly in my room for two hours a day. It doesn’t give me endorphins, but it helps me control my weight.
Swimming is essential
It’s almost meditative. I get very edgy and nervous if I don’t hit the water on a regular basis
