Wonderful news that can potentially help all of you!

Over the last decade roughly, I have been battling every second of every day Schizoaffective Disorder or S.A.D., schizophrenia plus bipolar disorder… I just figured out a beautiful way to end the pain people!

I’ve been taking the following for several years now:
Sertraline 100mg in the morning
Lurasidone 40mg before bed
Lithium Carbonate almost the maximum dose 1050mg twice per day
Omega-3 fish oil (1200mg omega 3) once per day
Sarcosine (N-MethylGlycine) 1000mg twice per day

But I still have battles everyday (Voices all ******* day, hypomania, pressures speech, delusions of grandeur, reference, persecution, withdrawal from social situations, etc) and I’m a very angry sad frustrated person… UNTIL THIS…

Add on pure Glycine! 1000mg twice per day, and now I feel like I have a clear mind, my calmness is unbelievable, I’m not snowed,I’m more relaxed and patient, I feel almost prediagnosis! Glycine helps co agonize NMDA receptors with glutamate and this helps essentially allow the neurons to build themselves rather than die. In schizophrenia, GAD67, an enzyme that converts glutamic acid into GABA, is very low, therefore, with SCH, we have too much glutamate and not enough GABA. GLYCINE is what helps the cell create more GAD67!!! Try it people, this could save millions of peoples lives who have psychosis/schizophrenia/bipolar (soon to be called psychosis spectrum disorder). Comments are welcome!!!

PS- Sarcosine and Glycine are TOTALLY DIFFERENT PHARMACOLOGICALLY and I’ll explain if you want to know.

Have a great weekend!

Moderate Interaction

Be cautious with this combination

  • Clozapine (Clozaril) interacts with GLYCINE

Clozapine (Clozaril) is used to help treat schizophrenia. Taking glycine along with clozapine (Clozaril) might decrease the effectiveness of clozapine (Clozaril). It is not clear why this interaction occurs yet. Do not take glycine if you are taking clozapine (Clozaril).

I found an old bottle of glycine. I’ll try it again as I’m desperate.

Is this medication, or the codes for launching a nuclear weapon?

For going through pure Hell for 8-9 years (Diagnosed in 2013, probably had it in 2012), and overcoming one of the worst diseases unimaginable, I’d say not a nuclear code; it is a possible way to freedom from the illness in regards to Serotonin receptors misfiring, Dopamine, NMDA, and GABA as well. Hope this helps! Good luck to you all!

Glycine made me sleepy, maybe I will try it again at night, but idk if I trust a delusional sandwich, maybe if you were a delusional burrito. Jokes aside glad to hear you’re doing better. I have been on Zoloft(sertraline)and lithium before and neither helped me.

Hahahahaha, just speak with psychiatrist first before trying anything and go from there. I always try to find out “What led to this? And how did I get here?” Then break it down to Dopamine hypothesis OR Glutamate hypothesis OR Serotonin hypothesis etc etc, you can overcome anything in life if you seek the correct guidance and assistance; if you feel you can’t speak up, then it should be other people around you who notice issues with you that step in and say “Hey, are you ok? Is there something going on in your life that I can help you with?” Those people are the real champions in life because they EMPATHIZE and see that you need help. Have a good one!

Good attitude and outlook, I have a hard time speaking up to drs about many things, I wish they had a Dr visit advocate to help communicate with drs what is the glutimate hypothesis?

Try reading these:

So it starts with NMDA receptors in this sense. You need Glutamate (excitatory) and glycine (co-agonist) to activate NMDA receptors and cause the depolarization. This depolarization then “recruits” AMPA receptors which then strengthens the signal of Long Term Potentiation of that neuron, right? So in Schizophrenia, we have weak Brian cells that need fixed, thus, add glycine to diet and see a DRAMATIC difference in how well it makes the nerve cells “Happy and healthy” and for me, I needed this since 2012, by a miracle, I have the information now to teach you who are snowed and suffering so you can improve your quality of life. In layman’s terms, Glycine = happy healthy stronger synapses and connections. Lets be honest, schizophrenia means “To split the mind” right? We have to reconnect and learn how to regain that sanity we once had, and it brings tears to my eyes now that I can think clearly with the addition of glycine after I’ve been through PURE HELL for 8-9 years. Please consider my information people, im here to help now that I’ve helped myself.

Perhaps you need to change meds?

When is this happening?

Probably not for a while so I wouldn’t worry about it.

Do you think they will retrospectively change peoples conditions?

Still not a fan of having PSYCHOsis in the title however

I tried taking glycine today, but I feel “odd”. Ive only taken 2000mg. I had to take my Abilify early to see if it would make me feel better.

Thanks for posting, I’ll look into it. I’ve heard of Glycine but I don’t know anything about it. Does it help with sleep? My problem right now is insomnia.

I found everyone is different. It takes time and experimentation to find the right cocktail of drugs and supplements before you figure out works for your individual circumstances.

Glad you found something that helps you.

It helps with sleeping and having dreams. Look up “Glycine and REM sleep” and see what you get; best choices are the Google Scholar or NCBI library for legitimate information. I’ve done my “cocktail” for one week now and I haven’t felt this incredibly clear since 1996… big deal people!!!
