Lately I’ve been thinking I’m very fearful… I mean, I fear everything, minimum stuff, like learning to drive for example, just thinking about things puts me in that place of extreme anxiety and fear. Would some med help with that?

Yes anti depressants are really worth a try. They can help you think more positively lift your mood and help motivate you.

Maybe it will and a lot of times it’s all trial and error some meds work for others and don’t work others you know what I’m saying even when I asked my doctor one time they said that they have a list from top to bottom on stuff the think might work

I take a medication commonly prescribed for panic disorder, it helps immensely. I did not respond well to the first anti depressant they gave me, which is the most popular one.

What med are you on?
Venlafaxine Hydrochloride
It takes a while to get into your system but it is effective to a certain degree early on.
Prozac was the one I didn’t like, if you have panic symptoms I don’t think it is a good mix, it made things worse for me for quite some time.

Don’t forget to eat 350 calories with venlafaxine. I like it so far. It’s withdraw is tough. Don’t stop taking it talk to your pdoc. I learned. My mg were mixed up I was in pain for days. Hugs

Does that med contain amphetamines? unfortunately my pdoc doesnt like that…

I don’t want to be the harbinger of bad news, but for me propranolol didn’t fix my anxiety. but then I don’t take it daily. i may try, but i still have a fear of driving and doing every day things, because of anxiety which talks me out of it.
that said, in theory - yeah, definitely talk to your doc about it and follow through; it may give you promising results!

the reason im hesitant with propranolol is because it adds tiredness to my already tiredness from antipsychotics

when i feel okay, i do my tasks. but when i don’t feel okay, anxiety dictates my life.
I’ve asked for an antidepressent in hopes of improving, but they haven’t found one yet. i’ll ask my nurse again if he can talk to the dr soon.
I really want to learn to drive as well!

Im sure you can, everyone can do it. The problem is when fear paralyzes you. I hope you find the right med for that, im in the same path haha.

Try two SSRI antidepressivas and if they don’t work try.the strongest effexor. But that one is hard to get off after years of usages.
