Why do I always think of the worst case scenario in a given situation?

Every time. I’m always afraid of the worst

I always expect the worst too. I have a surgery coming up and im terrified of whats going to happen. But likely it’ll go fine. Its just hard not to see the worst when so much bad has happened in my life.

Well, they say, “Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.”

I won’t go on holiday cos I
Think my brother will drop dead. He won’t seek or accept treatment.

I worry about the worst to. The abilify ive been taking tho wasnt letting me worry when i mixed it with haldol. But now that the hldol dose is lower its starting to creep back in.

I think I think of worst case scenarios in order to be prepared for them.

Also I think having gotten this frkkn psychosis has made me realise that the worst really can happen and thus I’m always alerted of worst case situations

I too think of worst outcomes for all situations. But not all turn out to be worst. They may end up better. The brain got too much info on worst outcomes based on the past. I am trying to prepare for other outcomes as well.
