Why are things so expensive now !?

So my dad used to earn around £25000 a year. Not a lot but he was happy. He bought three houses with mum in London. After he passed we sold one and got work done in the house.

My partner earns around £80,000 and we can’t afford a property in London … How is this possible ?

One word: Inflation.

3 things from me : Inflation, Covid , and to a lesser degree, probably people taking advantage of rising costs.

Inflation - Pound Stealing and Dollars don’t have the value they once had.

It’s ridiculous :sob: I just want to move in with him but it feels like we’re getting nowhere. It’s so frustrating.

Pound stealing is what I’d call it too.

I’m 100 miles away from London. House prices are around £150.000 for a decent terrace house in my town and it’s a nice town to live.

he has a house of his own outside London . But transport there is terrible. Id have to find local work there and id rarely get to see my mum and grandmother if she wanted help. But if we can’t afford anywhere here I think I’ll have to go.

It’s the “Bloo” passport, I’m pretty sure…

Haha I still have the red passport :sleepy:

Ah right ok. I live fairly close to London, about a half hour drive. The prices here are still pretty high but its cheaper than London.

I wouldn’t fixate on the pass. You have to prioritize

Have you looked at any properties in reading?

It’s so I can travel to my family without having to pay hefty cost of transport. But I kinda agree in a sense. This is getting so tiring.

To go into a bit more detail than I did:

During covid the IMF declared “The Great Reset” as an alternative to a “Great Reversal.”

So far, the Great Reset has lasted about 4 years. I don’t know how long it will last. They didn’t call it “Great” lightly. Economically, in about the last 100 years, the western world had the “Great Depression,” the “Great Recession,” and the “Great Reset.”

This is a historically significant time.
