Who wants to lose weight?

I’ve gained 13 kg / 28 lbs in the last year. I wasn’t able to walk for a while due to pain in my feet and I am eating at night when I’m awake since I’m sleeping unpredictably.

I feel like I need to make an effort and go back on my daily walks and try to sleep longer, so I don’t eat.

Anyway. Who wants to make an effort and lose weight as well?

I do.

If I lose 40 lbs my husband is buying me a ball gown and we’re going to a super fancy drag show.

Just, you know, have to lose the 40 lbs.

It’s great you’re bringing some humor and ‘lightness’ into the affair.

I could lose another 20 pounds…I would be almost no fat then…so hard to get the last bit off.

I gained almost 50lb on meds and battling negative symptoms. I definitely need to do something. I always wished I enjoyed running. It seems like fun… I just hate it. I was in the Navy and I thought running every day would make me like it more. It didn’t.

Yes I want to lose weight. I need to increase my exercise and stop eating all the time and cook healthy meals with lots of vegetables. I eat a lot of fruits right now but not many vegetables

Stuck at 89kg, that’s 10kg more than I wish I weighed.

I am not ashamed to admit I like chocolate, and donuts, and cake. Not big on icecream, though.

And I don’t exercise enough.

Kinda scared of what my next blood checkup will reveal…

I’ve gained close to 80 pounds (36.28 kg) in the last year since trying new APs. I’m so unbelievably hungry all the time.

For the last 2.5 weeks. Ive been eating 1600 calories per day. I count and measure everything. I’ve gained 6 pounds (2.72 kg) in that time! It’s my new AP Zyprexa, also known as olanzapine. It’s an awful drug for sure.

I’m trying to get my diet down to 1200 calories per day but so far have been too hungry to do so. It sucks!

Ive put on about 30kgs over the last few years. Im normally 75kgs and now im 105kgs. Dont like the extra weight at all. I enjoyed being slim. Im six foot 3 and male so 75kgs is lightweight. Not sure how to go about it. And im one of those guys who finds it difficult to stick to a exercise/diet plan if i dont have good results quickly enough. Which i rationally know isnt helpful. But its hard not to be that way when i could battle my anxiety and depression with some snacks at any moment. It would probably take at LEAST 6 months of exercising and dieting to get most of that 30kgs off. I dunno.

I’m sorry but I don’t like zyprexa. It did awful things to me.

I’m losing on zyprexa but it took some serious dieting and it’s not for everyone. Keto is working for me but it’s hard work. I try to keep below 50g of carbs a day which rules out a heck of a lot of good food and it’s hard bloody work.

Still. It’s working for me and just hit a plateau after losing 14 kgs. Just dialing in the diet again and still more to lose.

I want to badly lose weight. It’s really hard to go diet when on meds. Any meds have side effect of gaining weight as far as meds that I am taking. But I am fighting it and see if I can reduce some kilos while I can.

There are times when I am not able to control eating and have some functions that brings snacks and sweets. I need to actively avoid having them and eat more of nutritious and good calories.

i weighed 180 lbs on geodon, down 60 lbs from when i was on olanzapine before then, now on olanzapine i weigh 360 lbs. its crazy that over 50% of my body weight is fat. i miss being at 180 even tho the geodon rage and instability couldve landed me on the streets or in prison, it was such a weird time i still dont understand how 2 ap’s in the same class can have a complete opposite effects on me

its frustrating that every drug to counteract ap weight gain is some random junk that barely is better than placebo. like lybalvi which is olanzapine + an opioid antagonist (samidorphan) it has less weight gain yes but only about single digit percentage difference in weight compared to olanzapine alone . ive known for a long time that its the 5ht2c receptor that should be targeted as olanzapine binds as a strong inverse agonist to that receptor which causes metabolic dysfunction and appetite increase. there has only been one drug that ive seen thats a 5ht2c agonist and it was advertised as a weight loss drug for obesity. sadly it was removed from market by fda within a year due to some things related to increasing cancer risk. it seems such common knowledge that the 5ht2c serotonin receptor plays a big part in obesity and weight related conditions but no new drugs acting as an agonist to that receptor have come out

I’m currently losing weight. Not sure what weight I want to stop at though. My healthy weight range is 52kg to 69kg.

I think I’ll be between 55 and 60 kg. Not sure yet where exactly to settle at, though considering 60kg.
