I find that music that has survived for centuries has its merit. It requires strength of mind to develop an interest in it and I think it is very good for the mentally ill.
depends what mood im in. The genre is definitely more versatile in terms of when it’s good to listen to than other genres imo. chopin, rachmaninoff are my favs
I’ll listen but tend to prefer other types of music.
I listen to classical music in the car. Both as the driver and as the passenger. It’s wonderful.
I’m a fan of it when I don’t want lyrics.
I like it. Does that make me an classic"old fart?"
I don’t listen to it but should. I am open to all different genre’s of music. I’ll have to give it a listen and see what I think.
Yup! Brandenburg Concertos on vinyl are awesome. But otherwise I’m a Beethoven listener.
I love classical music. I played cello in orchestra in high school and have never stopped loving the great artists.
I like classical, and much more playing the piano for 8 years now
which I haven’t done in a long time
Yeah, “Stairway to Heaven” and “Freebird” ! Rock on, @PinCushion.
I am a big fan of classical music. But, I don’t listen to it, as a rule. I play it on my piano and keyboard.
I love it. Bach, Mozart and chopin are my current favorite classical composers. It relaxes you and is good for the mind. I learned 1 classical song on electric bass, Bach’s prelude #1 in C major, but I have yet to master it.
My fave is the most dramatic and eerie piece of music, in my opinion! carmina burona
I don’t play musical instruments, so I just listen to youtube when I’m working on something. I like a good weekly session of classical music
I love classical music.
It’s nice to listen to when focusing on projects and things, because there are no lyrics, unless it’s opera which is usually in italian or something.
It drive me out of my skin. Cannot listen to it for long.
I LOVE classical music. Especially classical piano music. Piano, cello, violin and harp are my favorite instruments. Liszt, Beethoven, Chopin, Ludovici Einaudi and Bach are my favorite composers. And Martha Argerich, Vladmir Horowitz and Helene Grimaude?? are my favorite pianists.
I subscribe to Pianist Magazine. They feature digital, classical piano concerts by all the big artists.
I also frequently attend live classical concerts held in my city. They often feature major artists.
Zombie thread again. @Ninjastar
I like Chopin and Shubert. But for some reason when listening classical music I become too engaged and not find it too relaxing.
