I love classical music. Especially have been a fan of Beethoven’s work, mainly “Ode to Joy.”
I also like Stravinsky, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Bach, Dukas, and Gershwin.

I am obsessed with classical. Especially the darker more moody sounding stuff. Mozart’s Requiem is my favorite music in existence. I dont really understand it much. Like the different keys and the terms and names they use for particular pieces. But i do love a lot of stuff that is in minor rather than major. Some peices that i love are beethovens moonlight sonata, mozarts symphony no. 25, rachmaninoff’s piano concerto no. 2. I saw the latter one live a while ago. Was friken amazing!

I love that most classical music is pure. It’s concerned with music in itself. No fancy production. I have to be in the mood for it though sometimes a guy needs block rocking beats.

I took a class about classical music in college. Signed up for it thinking it was just gonna be an easy A, or a throwaway class but I ended up liking it. Very interesting stuff, that I wish I remembered more of lol

Did you know he wrote many of his pieces specifically for his students that addressed what each student needed to learn/practice?
We’re enjoying masterpieces that were really just a lesson for a specific student!

I’m a classically trained pianist. I did my degree in music.
I am very fond of the Russian nationalistic composers. Some you mentioned. Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, Musorksky has some interesting pieces especially “a night on a bare mountain” I think he was quite an unwell man.

I like it occasionally. When i was really paranoid i used to love Schoenberg. He was a paranoid man who thought the government was plotting against him. So he makes great music for paranoia.
Maybe they did too, I’m not sure. But yes Chopin did do that. Very impressive!!!
