I take abilify and clozapine. I wonder is it better to take two aps or one? Do 2 ap not go together, and it is less affective. I know I should ask my pdoc, but has anybody already asked their pdoc this question…or have you experienced this yourselve?(2 aps are better or 1 ap is better)
I take abilify shot and clozapine
I think most are on two meds round here.
Im on the paliperadone (invega) jab 4 weekly, and seraquol 25mg twice a day, 300mg at night.
I take invega susstenna shots well as perphenazine.
I take Geodon and Seroquel, and that is a combination that has kept me more or less on track. Some people don’t like Seroquel, but I have no problem with it.
I take haloperidol shoot along whit 2mg of risperidone and 100mg of Seroquel for sleep
I take Clozapine and Ziprasidone. It has been the winning combination for me.
i am on risperdal const 50mg 2 weekly and 200mg clozapine a day. Seems a lot of us are using 2 APs
Yeah, I’m on two AP’s but they are both low doses. My pdoc was worried about possible side effects but he agreed to prescribe them because I am doing well.
Olanzapine and Lurasidone
Abilify and a low dose of Thorazine works well for me
I take 3.
Clozapine, haloperidol, chlorpromazine
I take 3 AP’s and they are definitely better than one. Risperdal Consta, Geodon and Seroquel.
I’m really surprised how many take 2 or more APs. Most docs I’ve known will stick to one and crank it really high if they need to, and if that fails, move on to something else.
I take Risperidone, Xeplion and Quetiapine.
That is what my second pdoc did. She cranked my Olanzapine up to 40mg. The side effects were bad and my physical health took a huge hit. I’m doing much better on a low dose of 2 AP’s.
