Who here is voting on Nov. 4th?

You know how many democrats said that to me who then turned around a year after the election and told me “you know I wish I voted for Nader in that”

But yes it was a bit of a boycott even then you are correct in that. Have you ever read Hope for the Flowers? It has excellent pictures too.

No, never read it.

Well I am simply jumping off this pillar of caterpillars all reaching for the sky.

People voted for Nader but he has to shoulder the majority of the blame himself for helping Bush and hurting Gore.

Both Democrats and Republicans work for Wall Street anyway. Hard to imagine significant differences in the parties — certainly none representing the interests of the downtrodden and weakest members of society.

The top 10% own 70% of capital. The top 1% own 50% of capital. The bottom 50% own less than 5% of capital. Meanwhile the wage gap continues to increase. We’ll be an aristocracy soon enough. In fact Stanford released a study coming to the conclusion that the US has already transitioned into an aristocracy.

It’s not difficult to see what’s wrong with the political process when the wealthy bankroll their chosen candidates into office.

On Obama’s watch.

Yeah, the parties do tend to blend together, so in their actions it;'s hard to see a difference. But traditionally the democrats are supposed to be the liberal, social issue party, for the lower or middle class and weak and downtrodden you mentioned. While the republicans are for those rich, upper class people you mention. The lines are blurred which you might expect.

Both sides of my family’s grandfathers were military so I believe people fought and died for our right to vote and it is our duty to exercise it.

I had more written, but I erased it. I’m on my best behavior.
