Just wondering… I’m on 200mg and I’m seeing if there’s any people on the forum that can tell me there experience with it…
I think I already answered you on this in the past but no Abilify didn’t bring back my presz emotions but it gave me more energy and motivation, again, still not as good as before sz.

200mg seems like a sub therapeutic dose. It’s less than 10mg oral equivalent according to this.
But I’m not an expert on injections.

I became psychotic after going off my medication and was given maintena 400 mg once a month for over a year. For about six months, I still was psychotic then after half a year went by, I became calm and coherent. I am glad I got the shot because I was incoherent, illogical, and irritable. I had to live near family who looked after me until I recovered. After six months, I was given 300 mg shots monthly since I calmed down. I felt well after a year of starting the shots. During the first six months of shots, I got kicked out of an apartment complex for being too loud inside my apartment. I was really insane, talked loudly and hit the walls out of rage. I was out of control. But, the shots starting working after six months. I talked normally again and lived with my family. I am now on the pill form 12-15 mg daily. I feel fine despite being tired. I have full emotions now and am calm most of the time now. I am also working and living on my own. I wanted to go on disability at the time of my psychosis. I was told I should work so here I am working. I am looking into grad school online. I want to write for a living, may be a fantasy, but I want to turn it into a reality.

I can do just fine on school and I’m on 400mg every 3 weeeks

I’m on Abilify Maintena 300 mg every month, I think it’s better that others for me, but I’m waiting SEP-363856. On Abilify I don’t have problems with positive symptoms, but I feel negative symptoms or side effects (but less than on other APs), I can’t study (my working memory and focus are not best), I don’t have energy to workout, I sleep in average around 11h, the quality of sleep is not best, my emotions are not as they used to be, they are lighter, my libido is not on the best level etc. - but I think it’s usual for this kind of medications which block dopamine, but I have hope that SEP-363856 will be better because it works on different way, it doesn’t block dopamine on D2 receptors so it should be better, without negative symptoms or that kind of side effects…

I use to be on 400 abilify maintana but I’m being switched to vraylar do to compulsive behavior

I was briefly put on maintena. Don’t remember the dosage. I switched to pills because I was judged to be compliant which is true for the most part. While on it, things went well. I now take 15mg a day. As @everhopeful mentioned, 200mg a month may be too little but if it’s once every 2 weeks you should be fine. Compared to older APs, Abilify is less likely to cause sedation or akathisia, although they might still occur in some patients.

I’m still recovering from invega so I don’t really know how Abilify alone feels!

I’m on abilify maintena 300ml and I have been on it for a year and a half and I find that it makes me compulsively shop and I feel like I cant think clearly on it. I dont know why but I just cant think clearly on it
Your lucky to only be on 200ml my doc says I’m on the lowest dose so o cant go down. I’m not sure If im going to stay on it due to sedation and side affects but I’ll try I cant concentrate very well either.

I had the same problem and it got worse with time until I went broke and came off the Abilify after 8yrs of being on it.
I was on 20mg Abilify pills.
I’ve been on Abilify Maintena for years; I receive the 400 mg shot every 3 weeks, so I’m maxed out on it, 400 mg being the highest strength.
I do okay cognitively and emotionally and all that.
I’m on Abilify Maintena and yes. I can think so clearly, I feel emotions and my cognitive skills are really good. I feel like a normal person.

I’ve had 3 injections of abilify maintena! Does anyone really know how much time will it take for abilify to leave my system?? I’m off since 2 months now

I’m on 400 mg and my experience has been like I’m almost on nothing there’s no side effects I feel good
