I am currently on abilify maintena 300mg for psychosis. Was on 400 but got put lower because i was having side affects such as insomnia and feeling tired. What I find about this medication is that I have almost no motivation to do anything and as a result I feel quite low.my creativity has taken a toll due to this and this is also making me feel low does anyone else feel this way when on this medication? I feel creative but I cant actually do anything if that makes sence. I think it has affected my attention span.

Was on 25mg pills. Negative symptoms were best out of 4 APs I have tried but I developed serious side effects, addictions and compulsions. There is many lawsuits against Abilify, over 2600 as of June 2019.
Not everyone suffer from those side effects so I say stick with Abilify if you don’t have addictions and compulsions like gambling, compulsive shopping, drugs, hypersexuality and binge eating.

I’ve read a lot of posts here that Abilify is not so potent treating SZ, but does not cause crippling depression. The lack of motivation you will experience will be almost on every Anti-psychotic medication. One of Abilify drawbacks are increased impulsivity, restlessness and akathisia
