i was hooked on lorazepam last hospitalization couldn’t sleep without it but i quit cold turkey after some crazy inspiration

My pdoc has actually never prescribed any benzos to me.

I have a prn for Xanax. I only use it when all else has failed and I really need it. And then I get back off of it once the crisis has faded.

Klonopin for 12 years.
Only take .5mg twice a day.
Manage to never run out .
I’ve never abused them.

I take 60mg of Buspar daily. It helps a bit. :bird::bird::bird:

I take buspar. I like it.

I don’t like benzos. I hate them and think they are evil, but I realize some people need them. It helps some people.

They didn’t help me. Messed with my memory.

I tried Buspar, unfortunately it had no effect on my anxiety.
Glad it works for you guys.
I’d honestly rather not be on a benzo.
If I ever want to get off I will have to go to a detox hospital.

I took myself off of benzos. I find if I have them I overuse them.

I have 1mg of Klonopin on hand as a prn. Never abused it

I got off of Klonopin a year ago.
No problems coming off of them.
Never again.

Sometimes I skip my evening dose.
But usually I don’t sleep well without it.
No doubt I’m dependent on them.
I’m not addicted though.
Big difference.

I have .5mg ativan and/or 5mg haldol prn, but I haven’t needed either in months.

I was on Klonopin for a few years, but my pdoc took me off it when I told him I had given a couple of them to this girl who was jonesing for heroin. That was stupid of me.

My psychiatrist wants me to start taking klonopin on a regular basis as an adjuctive therapy to an antipsychotic. She insists that it is safe to do this, but I read so many places about becoming dependent – it doesn’t seem like a good idea to me to take the klonopin if I can get by without it.

I have to have my klonopin 1mg twice a day… The stuff just works wonders. I may have to remain on it for life.

The doctors tried me on Xanax and Lorazepam when I stayed in hospital. I got addicted. I slowly took myself off them by switching to Valium which has a much longer half-life and then slowly reducing that. I’ll never touch benzos again unless they are forced upon me.
