Which new phone should I get?

Well it’s time my old iPhone SE has gone phoobared. I dropped it in the snow some time ago and ever since then none of the speakers work and my microphone doesn’t work. Which new phone should I get? I’m thinking a newer iPhone because I have an Apple Watch and it won’t work without an iPhone. I don’t think I want the super new iPhone 11 or whatever that’s called because of how expensive it is. Anyone have an iPhone and have advice on which model to get?

I can tell you what phone not to get. The pixel Google phones. They suck. Mine is always giving me trouble. I may get a Samsung or Apple phone next.

I have the iPhone X it’s a pretty good phone. My contract ends in a few months and i won’t be upgrading it. I’ll be keeping this one.

There will be a new iPhone coming out in around March of this year.
It will be less expensive and smaller than the iPhone 11.
I may get it.

@Wave yes I’m torn because I like the smaller size of my current phone. It’s the same size as the 5 models unfortunately I can’t wait very long before upgrading.

If you like smaller iPhones and you can’t wait then how about the iPhone 6S or 7 or 8?

I have an iPhone 6S

You can buy a new one for around $150 bucks

You can buy a brand new iPhone 7 model for $200

Oh that’s not bad at all. I was just going to go into the Verizon store and see what they have but I bet they don’t have such older models.

My cell phone provider sells the older iPhone models.

Apple still sells the iPhone 8 models but they are a bit more pricey- $450

I have never used any new smartphones and so I can not help. I have just an old Samsung phone that cost only 3.5 euros at one flea market. I can make and receive calls and text messages. Many of you suggest iPhone, maybe that’s good, but there are also many other smartphone suppliers.

I don’t like iPhone because Apple forces you to buy their products. I prefer Samsung and I always buy the older or cheaper models. They do the job and don’t cost as much. Price is very important to me. I never pay more than maybe $100 to 150 for a phone. And I will never and never have signed a contract. And I always go with the cheapest service providers too.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro… It’s brilliant. I never get any trouble from it. No crashing. The battery lasts well over 24 hours. I had my iPhone 7 for 3 years and never had any trouble with that either. I will have this 11 pro for 3 years and get the newest iPhone. I think they are worth the money. I only buy apple products. Had iMacs 11 years and no trouble from them either.

How could you have the iPhone 11 Pro for 3 years?
It just came out last year @bobbilly

@Cici2, I heard the google 3a is good if you don’t need to stream movies and stuff. Which google pixel do you have?

Ok. So it’s not the 3a. Maybe I’ll just pay off my phone and stay with it a while.

If you have the Apple Watch then you should get an apple phone to make the most of it.

The XR is good if you don’t want to spend as much

I love my Apple Watch 5. Wish the battery was better though. Good thing is I walk everyday to get my rings, although stand when it says. That has helped my piles lol. I didn’t realise I was sitting too long.

I love my big, clumpy motorola because i can go for days without charging it, a good camera, loudspeakers, it’s cheap, goes with android and there are only the app’s on the phone i choose to download. No freeware

If your looking for budget, the Samsung a51 is pretty good. They are better than iPhone 11s in all areas apart from the processor. You wont notice much difference in actual speed though.
