Which new phone should I get?

I just got an 11 pro a couple weeks ago and it’s awesome. The 11 would have been enough, I didn’t really need the Pro. The normal 11 is what I’d recommend to people. The battery life noticeably longer than previous models. I upgraded from a 6, which was on its last legs.

How about an iPhone XR?

Well my phone magically started working again so now I’m in no real rush to get a new one. Maybe I’ll wait for the new release but rumor has it it’s been delayed due to the corona virus outbreak and factory shut downs in China.

I went from an se to an XR. It’s a much bigger phone which is problematic for me as my old se would fit in my shirt pocket. No chance with the XR but it is a nice phone. Plenty of screen is better for my old eyes.

Get an iPhone if you already have one but the new samsung that folds is cool

I am glad you like it. I have the series 4 and I use it all the time. Really good watch.

@Joker I have the series 4 as well and I love mine. I do wish the battery lasted long enough to track my sleep consistently for a couple days though like my Fitbit used to.

I only bought mine because I was watching you tube one day and all the people were going on about how great it was.

The 4 is my first apple watch and I am glad I bought it

I hope it lasts a good few years.

What won me over was how much of an upgrade it was on the 3

To be honest I only got mine because my dad gave me his. He then missed it so much he bought himself a new one. I get my use out of it for sure. And I like having the security of holding down the button and it calling 911 for you.

Have you decided what phone you’d like now?

I’m thinking the iPhone X if my phone company has one in stock. I like the wireless charging option as well as the face recognition. I feel it would be a big upgrade from my iPhone SE

Good choice. My aunt has the X and it is a really solid phone.

If you have a look around a few providers you should still be able to get one.

I got my phone directly off Apple and I got 2 years interest free loan for it and put a deposit down to lower the monthly payments. I then got a cheap sim only contract.

I’m still on my parents phone contract and I just pay them that way I keep my same number. And I have to use Verizon because that’s the only cell provider that has service up where my parents live. I thought about buying a phone unlocked and then transferring it to Verizon if that’s possible

You can transfer your number to another sim if you ever wanted to. I think it’s called a PUK code that you get from your existing provider and then give to the new one.

I am sure if you’re on a family plan it must be a pretty good deal anyways.

Might be worth getting the phone second hand if you cannot find a X in store.

I know Amazon offer refurb apple phones with a one year guarantee in the UK. Might be worth checking where you are

Oh yeah that might be worth checking out. I think eBay has them refurbished as well. I just want to be careful regarding battery health. Sometimes those refurbished phones have finish batteries for some reason.

I have seen they guarantee them to be higher than 80% battery Health before they sell them.

Not sure when they brought it in but if you go into settings it tells you how much battery health there is since new in %

Oh yeah I forgot about that feature on the iPhone. My current battery is not so great at 56% health I just looked. No wonder why it’s always dying.

I had the same problem with my 6S which is why I upgraded. I also only had a 32gb one and it filled up.

If you go for an X that is one hell of an upgrade on the SE!

I have the 64gb SE and I’m nowhere close to filling up the phones storage which is fortunate.
