Depends on severity. But depression had a chance of lifting, so I would say sz is worse because it’s not going anywhere.

Depression feels like a giant boulder on my back. Schizophrenia feels like god gripped me and said “**** you”.

Depression can lift. But it’s awful being in it and it can lead to suicide.

For me schizophrenia means I live in my own world. But it can get really frightening and can also lead to suicide.

I think it’s comparing apples to oranges.

I have both, and ptsd. I’m having to fight to get proper medical benefits from the VA. I’m really down about the lack of equipment and lack of attention at the VA, but I’m trying to be patient. I’ve been trying to get rTMS therapy from the VA and they won’t setup their equipment, I tried to get their funding to do it locally and they refused. They’re totally not helping right now I’m pretty unsure as what to do next besides write a congressman or something.

Both my son and are Vets. My son has Schizofrania and I’m bipolar. The VA has been good us. We’re under control, I’m in worse condition than him. About the VA it seams to me that it depends were you live we live in Cali and it’s been good.

My sz scares the crap out of me. I fear for my mind. I guess that’s the question for me, sadness or fear. I would rather be sad than afraid.

Schizophrenia can give you depression but depression can’t give you schizophrenia

so schizophrenia is the worst.

It’s like it’s two in one only thing is, the second one is sooner or later free

you hear that ?

freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee just free

I think it’s a subjective thing, depending on each case in each person. Either could be relatively mild or quite bad, or ultimately deadly. My heart goes out to everyone struggling with mental illness and illness in general. I guess if I was given a choice, it would depend on many factors; however, schizophrenia is the tyrant that forced me into depression…

depression kills people. still, mood disorder vs. thought disorder? take the mood disorder.

I have the double whammy of both and both are equally debilitating in different ways. I concur with @anon84763962 it’s comparing apples to oranges.
