Paranoia, hearing people’s thoughts about me in my head, having arguments with people in my head, a bad entity that hates me but only comes out when I’m feeling low, seeing bugs and flies that aren’t there, tasting and smelling things that I haven’t eaten or been around for a while.
I am not a doctor but u can check it with ur Gp… rispridal worked for me… i have rare positive symptoms…but my cognition and negative symptoms are worse…
I’m no authority on antipsychotics, but it seems to me that there is a certain amount of trial and error in finding the right ap for a person. Geodon and Seroquel have been very good for me.
You could do the DNA test, but good luck getting it on the nhs!
Invega might be a good one for you.
I don’t want to go to that much trouble lol.
I just don’t get how doctors know which medication to prescribe to each person, since there are so many types. So each one must tackle different symptoms.
Everyone responds differently to each medication so I guess it’s mostly guess work. Some of them are useful for things like mood, sleep and appetite as well as psychosis so that goes into the calculation.
There are no anti-psychotic pharmacologists on this forum so we are not the people to ask. We can only suggest the drugs we have taken or know of. Seeing your psychiatrist is best.
I’ve tried risperdal abilify qutiapine and now on Invega. For similar symptoms above risperdal and Invega have worked best for me.
Please ask your doctor and not strangers on the internet !
I have found that for me personally vraylar increases nighttime visual hallucinations (it does help with other things so much though). Each med works different for everyone.
Seems each one effects each person differently. It’s often trial and error through your doctor.

Have you ever seen the antipsychotic binding profiles receptor binding profiles?
Makes sense why some meds help some of us while others don’t/ Must be that we all have different imbalances.
But to know which would require some sort of biological test, rather than pot luck and quackery!

Risperdal Consta, Geodon and Seroquel all work very well for me.
