When psychotic what were your mornings like?
Some mornings, I’d wake up and say “Morning, b*tches” to my voices. I thought of it as taking control right off the bat every day. I don’t need to do this anymore tho.
id hear a voice like “you passed the test” or “time for more training” or some weird visuals.
Well, when I lived in the studio with just me and my cat, every morning when I first opened my eyes he would be sitting a few inches away from me purring. That son-of-a-gun really liked me. I would wake up feeling pretty good; all bright and bushy tailed and then the thought always came: “Oh yeah, you got schizophrenia” and it would put a pall on my morning, as if a dark cloud was passing overhead blocking out the sun. It was still fun often living on my own though.
I don’t remember. I don’t remember how it started either.
My earliest psychosis memory was sexual tactile hallucinations. Hyppnogoggic ones, possibly
Sometimes I get a weird psychadelic visual like I’m on LSD. Bright colors and things floating around.
silent for a few seconds. nowadays when i wake up my thoughts spring into action. when i still had psychosis one day i was just sitting around and my mind went blank, no voices, as soon as i noticed and started thinking the voices came back along with my racing thoughts
I would have instant terror as soon as I awoke until days later each time that I would sleep for a few hours…crucified brain…
I would wake up to conversations… like voices talking to each other about me or random things, sometimes I would have sleep paralysis… sometimes I would have visual hallucinations of someone I had liked… I like the mornings when I wake up and everything is normal… no voices, no sleep paralysis…
I’d instantly think about my delusions and feel paranoid pretty quickly.
If it’s ok to ask, did meds control it?
I’d get a few seconds of peace, and then came the running commentary. “Oh look! Dipshit is up!” etc.
Yes meds help. I don’t have sleep paralysis when medicated and voices are lower and I am able to ignore it for the most part.
