When you go out what do you do?

That’s pretty much the same for me. Here in Silicon Valley there’s a lot of wealth so businesses spring up to make all these Yuppies (I don’t know if that’s an archaic term or not) part with their money including entertainment. Just In my local area I could go to a different restaurant every night for three months and there would still be new ones to discover.. I have live music and a movie theater within walking distance. My new therapist is trying to get me to take advantage of the entertainment opportunities around here.

Bowling @everhopeful . My arm is messed up now, but bowling was my outlet for many months. Its a not-too-athletic activity that most people can still do even if they arent that physically fit.

And its fun.

I actually started getting a pretty good hook after years of straight bowling. .

Its too bad I developed this tendonitis just when I was starting to get decent at it.

Yes because of arthritis in shoulder and fingers I can’t. I love bowling though. It’s so fun. I’m sorry you can’t. You should try swimming exercises. That helps a lot.

You have a non-Gamestop game store nearby? That’s so awesome! I’d love to find a retro games store, but if I did I wouldn’t have enough money to live on lol

When I go out it’s usually fast food or a walk for exercise… or to the theater. I have a 25 dollar a month see up to 4 movies per week pass at AMC and so does my mom, so we see at least one movie a week usually.

When I go out I may food shop. Most the the time though when I go out it’s to take my sons somewhere like football or a play place or drop my eldest at school.

If I had no kids and time on my hands at this point in my life I think I would frequent coffee shops. Book shops. Nerdy shops. I would probably also take up kayaking in the local town near me on the river.

Thank you thank you soo beautiful! :slightly_smiling_face: I hope you had a good time

I like to walk my dog at the park. Other than that, it usually costs money to go do something. And I’m very broke lol

I suggest finding some local activities on Facebook or meetup.com and going out with a group of strangers. My wife and I did not know anyone at the Light up the Night float we went on last night, but got hugged by two strangers (ugh) and now have new acquaintances on Facebook who may become friends.

I actually took the hugs and hugged back. I made a decision earlier this year to try and accept kindnesses with grace. @Ninjastar says this is healthy, thereby making it twice as sus for me now.

So here’s the funny thing… The group float started as a singles float and somehow got hijacked and turned into a glow float. Except that some of the people there thought it was still a singles float. I got hit on in front of my wife! Lollllll. She was ready to ram the lady who hit on me and put her and her small dog into the lake. Then we found out after what happened and that some of the people thought it was a singles meet on the water.

Do you have a small camp stove? Sometimes it’s nice to brew a pot of tea or coffee while out in the countryside.

@77nick77 Are there any Farmers Markets in your area? In my area there are Farmers Markets (either Sat morning or Sun morning depending on the city) and these can be fun to attend. Besides local produce, there is usually some music, artisan foods (bakery, cheese, honey, etc) and some interesting food trucks.

Yeah, there’s one on Saturdays about a 5 minute walk from my apartment I’ve been meaning to go to.

For my mental health I choose to not engage too much with the public.
Honestly I prefer the company of my pets more than anything else.
If there’s too much drama in my life then I implode with different symptoms.
I occasionally like to go out and eat at a restaurant
