Last time we went out of the house was to get out of the house. Went to an outdoor shopping center to walk the dogs in November.
We get everything delivered. Don’t have a problem being in the house, but if I think about doing something out, there is nothing I can think of that I want to do. I hate shopping. I live in the suburbs so its just houses, parks and malls.
What do you do to get out of the house, is it for fun, errands, attractions? Or stay in too.
Since covid and winter I go out a lot less. Rarely I go out shopping with my parents or visit family. Last summer my friends picked me up and we hanged out, we ate at a restaurant, walked in the mall and had coffee.
Every weekday I attend the local clubhouse to socialize and eat lunch with friends. In summer months I take my dog to the dog park so SHE can socialize. Last week the clubhouse was closed due to the winter storms we’ve had and I had a hard time coping with being alone…I don’t know what I’d have done if I didn’t have friends to just talk on the phone with.
Yea my friend who used to pick me up is afraid of getting out and catching covid as he’s not vaccinated, he’s an antivaxxer. We also can’t do much with him as he doesn’t have the vaccination passport so we can’t sit inside restaurants, we have to eat and stay in the car. My other friend doesn’t have a car and another rarely talks to me as he’s busy with university.
Right now it’s 0 F, warming up from -35 F this morning. Our clubhouse is closed on days -35 and colder, but last week the problem was the unprecedented amount of snow. It’s taken them all week plowing to make the roads drivable. This week is supposed to be “warm”, so no colder than -15 or so.
