I’m thinking about switching from invega sustenna. I remember @Aziz use to be on it and said he had zero positive symptoms. How is it on weight gain and does it cause akathesia

I’m on it, no symptoms if i’m taking care of myself. I also have been able to lose weight on it the only side effect I get from it, its that I get sleepy after taking the pill, im on 3mg.

I think it’s supposed to be very similar to invega. It was okay when i was on it but it makes me feel depressed.

I used to be on it and would make me feel drowsy at worse. I was then taken off it due to hormone imbalance.

I was on 5mg pill and had terrible anxiety and they lowered it to 3 and i was ok. My pdoc just really wanted me on a longer injectable because i wasnt medication compliant yet and the resperdal shot was 2 weeks and the first invega was sustenna which was 1 month then they eventually moved me to trenza which had alot of weight and sexual side effects but gave me the time to break down my delusions and accept that i had schizophrenia.

Sleeping well, minimizing stress and not consuming substances. Not sleeping well and consuming drugs causes terrible symptoms on me even on risperidone.

It caused me horrible horrible hormone imbalances 
My tatas were leaking milk, and it was SO embarrassing!!

I couldn’t sleep on risperidone but 5 hours a night and had no appetite problems.

Yeah I got to a point about 3 weeks in where I literally didn’t sleep. Thats when I came off it

It helped me when i was mentall ill when i had my first positive symptoms. For a couple of years. So my new years resolution is to get of risperdal (4mg) slowly. Ill tell you what ive bene improving with my symptoms. Ive have been performing time to time with this.

I’ve been on risperidone for many years and without it I’d be on the streets losing my mind.
It’s usually a very effective med against positive symptoms but it may make you a bit lethargic so it’s not the greatest for the negatives.
As far as weight gain goes, it’s somewhere in the middle.
Not usually as bad for weight gain as olanzapine or Seroquel

Read my comment above you. Ive been on risperdal 4mg for 8 years. Ive gained gyno because my diet was bad but it did took a while to get the gyno, last year i started noticing and gained weight. So i cut my pill into 2mg last december. I gotta tell you @Wave ive been relieved with many symptoms and it feels like it will stay positive.

It didn’t work out for me. One pill gave me massive suicidal ideation. They didn’t give me a second!

I’ve heard Invega is the cheaper version of Risperdal.
