Risperidone to Invega?

Anyone done this switch?

New team is talking to me about it. So far I like the idea of the shots absorption rates, efficacy and side effect profile.

On risperidone I feel over medicated and not as effected as I’d like. Invega sounds like it might give me that.

Any input?

Mine is the opposite situation
I might be considering respiridone after years on invega sustenna …
To be honest
They had me on the highest shot of invega in the beginning
And I was asleep for 3 days after injection day
It was terrible …
Maybe invega sustenna would be better on a dose that doesn’t do that…
Anyways
Too bad they killed it for me

Same ■■■■
Horrible akathasia,But managed with Benadryl
Terrible dystonia But managed with Benadryl
Maybe the lamictal will help manage these symptoms better than Benadryl?
Idk…
I see my pdoc tommoro

On the pro side
I was really stable!
Just the akathasia and dystonia…
Have you tried abilify?

Yes, worked ok until it gave me horrible insomnia that ramped my symptoms to unacceptable levels.

Came off it

Really?
I was hoping it would help me sleep because I already have insomnia coming off invega
Ive been off APs for about a year now
Im only on lamictal…
Im considering one small AP to help me with my moods and paranoid delusions…

I was on both and felt they were both bad. Keep in mind my current pdoc took me off invega because she had so many people complaining they didnt feel well on it. I would try a different drug completely. I am currently on latuda.

Yeah I switched from risperidone to invega and the invega made me feel sick.
Thought it was an interaction with Depakote but not sure.

I switched back to risperidone.

This was years ago.
