clozaril for sure, i have been on both and clozaril was the worst for weight gain!

Mainly it is the histamine H1-receptor antagonism that induces weight gain, but some say that serotonin 5-HT2C antagonism also contributes. The H1 antagonism also causes sedation.

No, Ive been couple years ago on 250 mg.
Blood tests are not necesery here.
I dont get any symptoms, just sleep a lot.
I put weight on Zyprexa, and no ups and downs, but on clozapine you can diet, unlike Zyprexa.
At first, I lost weight eating moderatelly, but then I started junk food.
Clozapine is “I dont give a fucck med”.
It really tranquilizes you.
Twenty years ago it was my first med.
I gained weight in a short time, and drooled a lot.
But after 5 months I was completely functional.
Never had problems with heart or agracunolocitosys.
Ive done tests bc of ocd often.
Dont worry if you develop weight gain, it can easilly go away.

I think that Clozapine is a little worse for weight gain than Zyprexa but by a little bit.
But Zyprexa gives you an insatiable appetite worse than Clozapine.
Weight gain is easier to manage on Clozapine.
