diffrence between psychotic episode and schizophrenia

I think psychotic episodes can be temporary and fully recovered from whereas schizophrenia stays with you for life. Don’t quote me on that though.

Psychosis is a general term and different people define it differently so that’s not a simple question to answer. Probably the best starting point is to say schizophrenia is an example of a psychotic disorder but there are other types of psychosis.
