If you can’t think of anything about yourself, say something you like about someone you know. Something interesting about me is that I have sectoral heterochromia, which means part of one eye is a different color than the rest of my eyes. It looks something like this.

While looking for a picture for sectoral heterochromia, I actually found out I have central heterochromia too. I didn’t know that was a thing, but it’s when around your pupil is a different color than the rest of your eyes. It looks something like this.

I totally have that too! Didn’t know there was anything weird about it!
ETA the central one. My eyes are light brown in the center and green on the outside. Everyone just called them hazel growing up.

I’m partially deaf! Always throws people off when I meet them. I have to wear hearing aids in both ears, which I don’t have currently.

Hmmm…I guess the whirlwind of sza and unexpected post-psychotic academic accomplishments are the most interesting things about me.
I was a high-performing student before age 18, but due to finances and living circumstances, I spent 6 years pre- mid- and post-psychotic at a community college and several times the instructors would address the class and say cruel things about what they called, “lifers”, or people who just stayed and stayed at the community college level and never transferred or even received their Associate’s degree. Then I went full psychotic with sza for a huge chunk of my 20’s and thought I would be lucky if I could ever attend another class again due to my positive and negative symptoms, and my pdocs were like ‘quit’.
Then, I said forget society’s expectations of me, yolo, and went on to earn my BA and MA with a non-sza persona I’d created and rehearsed using Angelina Jolie movies as a model for “normies”. That’s literally the most interesting thing about me…and the least known. Nobody except my mother and recent pdocs know that about me…plus you guys. Imagine having the best, most interesting story ever and never getting to tell it! GAHHHH (it hurts)

That’s awesome! I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone else with a form of heterochromia in their eyes. Mine are green on the outside, and then yellow around the pupils, and then a brown patch in one eye. I used to actually dislike my eye color, and wanted blue eyes, but the older I get the more I love my eyes. They’re probably my favorite thing about me now. My sister says my eyes look like sunflowers because of the yellow parts. It looks like sunflower petals.

That is interesting. I’ve only met one fully deaf person as far as I know, and my mom and I were helping translate what she was signing to the people she was trying to communicate with. I know a lot more than my mom when it comes to ASL, but not enough to have a long and/or complex conversation with someone who only signs. I’ve met a couple people who were partially deaf though, and I guess I can add you to the list!

I also have heterochromia, but not in my eyes. It’s actually my hair. I have every color of hair in single hair strands. It makes my hair look ashy.
I think they call it mosaicism.

I gave a 15 minute talk on recovery in a CA meeting in front of about 75 fellow addicts. I was pleased with myself and I thought I was getting a standing ovation but it was just one guy in the audience getting up to use the restroom.

I had never been in a jet airliner until I flew across the country with my dad after I had schizophrenia for ten years.
I had never been water skiing before either until I was 34 or 35.

That’s cool! My dad has what appears to be a freckle in his eye, but I’m not sure if it is star shaped.
