I used to live in Nanjing, Sydney and Newcastle, now have come back to Nanjing.

I have published a book in Chinese, and am publishing a book in English.

I owned nearly 800 books before I moved to Australia, and I sold about 500 books after I got the diagnosis of SZ.

I had dreamed to be a Chinese medicine practitioner, after 10 years of living in Australia, I gave up the dream and started to reject Chinese medicine therapy.

I collect both Jazz and classic music.

If I was willing to tell my secrets, I’d be pretty interesting. But, since I’m not, I’m pretty boring.

I always thought Dubai was in India. Somebody told me we were going to Dubai and I said oh yeah India. And they said no it’s in the UAE. I honestly had no idea what he was talking about. It’s interesting that the world’s tallest building is in Dubai.

Maybe you thought it was in India because there is a very very large population of Indian workers there.
I lived there five years, in UAE. I worked there full time and went on a work visa being from a Middle Eastern country. Then I immigrated to Canada. I like here the best of course, especially I feel safe and secure but Dubai was so much fun. I was not even ill then in the first 3-4 years.

I’ve never been to Canada, but it seems like a great place.

My 2 strangest jobs were a “Band-aid,” and a “Warm body” for a nurse practitioners license exam- I had to be a 60 year old male(!) who presented heart palipitations in the Emergency room. Imagine the young male hopefuls, who opened my gown and saw a fit young 20 year old female with naked boobs instead.
One guy went totally blank and forgot all his training. He started stuttering and sweating!
The exam lady was very nice and sat him down and talked to him about everyday things, and he calmed down enough to finish the exam, but unfortunately he didn’t pass.

Pretty nondescript these days. It’s probably up to someone else to make that call.

I’m interesting except for awkward silences in conversation…:slightly_smiling_face:
I’m learning that I never learned how to take care of myself - and didn’t even when I was “normal”.

I love doing lots of different types of art/craft work.

I made this cat tree:

I made these friends for my kids (crocheted - without any instructions or directions):

And I made this coat rack. My own design too. I burned the drawing into wood with a soldering iron:
