What You Doing To Keep Cool?

Were having a heat wave, kept the window open all night with a fan going but was still 90f in the house. A/C thinks the house is cooler and keeps shutting off :sob:
Going to work at 5 AM and be home early, just to hot to be out in the sun

If you are in the heat zone, How are you doing?

I’ve heard soaking a tshirt, wringing it out and putting it on works well

We got a lot of rain this Spring, so it is very humid, as well as being hot. I handle it by turning on the air conditioner.

we need rain badly

I wish we could have given you some of ours. The moisture will be good for the hay crop for beef farmers, but that is the only good it will do.

Crops here have got little rain, farmers are worried and crops are failing, plus a worry of grass fires etc

Where do you live? In California they’ve been having a terrible drought, but they did get some pretty good rain last season.

Live in Alberta Canada

over the other side was a nightmare but here is much dry and tolerable. Right now I do not have the AC on. I feel cool.
Maybe make sure you wear cotton or very lightweight cotton shirts ?

Me too.
So effing hot here, where I live!
I bought an A/C, second hand, for $90. Now I’m just concerned about the electricity usage.

Use it for sleep if you want to save money. It’s cooler at night, and it’s prob when you need it the most

I just stay inside with a fan or the air conditioner if it gets above 86 F inside. Right now at 12:47 AM it’s still 94 degrees F outside, which is pretty unusual for around here.
Normally after the sun sets we get a wind from the southwest cooling off the night to a nice 70 degrees. Not tonight.
Tomorrow is supposed to be 103 F.

In Portugal Ac is rare but I installed 4 when I moved in cause I know it gets hot. Also heating is not that common but fortunately my townhouse has central heat and I must say I like the system better than what I’ve seen in the USA
