Do you have an AC?

Today is the first day I’m using it this year. I have a mobile AC in the living room.

I bought it about 5 years ago since the summers are getting hotter here.

Do you use an AC?

Oh yeah. We’re in Florida and it gets Hot. We keep the ac at about 73 year round.

Where I live in California,

We’re still wearing jackets and have to put the heat on at night.

But I know the heat is coming and will probably last until November,

And we have no A/C.

Thankfully, we live on the water and so we get a cool ocean breeze if we open he windows.

Only about a week or two out of the year do we really wish we had A/C.

Yes. We have a split unit that we use mainly in the day when it is hot.

I have A/C. I get overheated easily due to my AP, so I need it. If I’m outside when it’s in the 80s for more than 30 minutes, I’ll literally get a fever if 102! It’s happened multiple times since I started taking APs. So I’m very careful in the heat.

I have the same issue on Invega.

I used to have no issue with heat at all. I even lived in a tropical climate for a year!

We have AC and have been using it every day since last month.

Wow. You’re the only other person I know of who has that response to an AP.

I think my pdoc once mentioned that I have to drink a lot of water on Invega because the med can mess with the thirst signal.

I drink a lot of water too. I’m always thirsty. But it’s a good thing I’m thirsty because my urologist wants me to drink a gallon, or 3.8 liters, of water per day.

That’s a lot! Can you still drink coffee?

I would miss that if I couldn’t.

Yes. I drink a cup of coffee every morning.

During late Spring and Summer, we keep the central air on at 72 degrees Fahrenheit during the day

We have central AC.

Cools most rooms except my bedroom because of where the room is located, the sun beats down on the roof, through the walls and windows. Nearly impossible to keep the room cool.

Yeah ive got an AC. Even tho i live in the Uk when its meant to be cooler. Have it on a timer in the summer evenings.

Got a matching UV electric fly zapper as well.

we have a/c wall units…three of them…they didn’t use to keep up with the heat during the hot summers of okla. but now we have a box fan and it is really helping the units.

In Alaska most folks do not have AC. When it gets hot we use fans and open windows. It hardly ever gets above 85 F or so.

I just went for a walk with my mom at 5 pm. It was 33°C or 91°F in the shade.

It was just a 40 min walk but I’m already happy I didn’t faint. I did have a water bottle with me.
