What was the first single and album you bought? (Vinyl, CD, cassette, download, etc.)

The current trends seem to be some people who prefer a physical album, such as vinyl records, and other people who don’t bother buying music, but prefer streaming it online, on services such as Spotify. What do you think of these trends? Do you prefer to buy physical media, such as CDs and vinyl, or do you instead like to listen to streaming services?

My first album was “Human Racing” by Nik Kershaw, which I bought on vinyl record and my first vinyl single was “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” by Dead or Alive. What were yours?

I think it was Queen - Greatest hits. I was only about 7 or 8 at the time. Pretty good choice for a 7 year old lol.

The first album I bought, I don’t remember. I’d like to say Aqua or Spice Girls, but my parents probably bought them for me.

The first album I actively sought out and purchased with my own money, as far as I can remember, was ‘Maybe you’ve been brainwashed too’ by New Radicals
