I do. I own dosens of albums. They are starting not to do it with all new music though. Like when I tried to buy the new Tool album, a standard CD version is just not available. Shame really, I know it is not really important but I like to physically own them.
I still buy a ton of CDs and vinyl. Here in the States you can find a lot of quality stuff, usually for $2 or less, in record store clearance bins/garge sales/flea markets and thrifts.
Oh yeah! I own a ton of records and CD’s. It’s really fun to collect the physical media of old blues albums. They tend to go in and out of print pretty fast.
I love vinyl but after living overseas I am of the mindset of few possessions. I am thinking of going digital with my books too just because they add to space. It’s a pity. I had a lot of records, tapes and cd’s that are gone. My little brother cleaned me out when I went overseas.
I had a large closet of vinyl. And a few boxes of 45’s. And about 500 CD’s.
Sold all of it, along with an audiophile vacuum tube stereo and a second solid state system.
Now I just listen to Spotify it’s a small Samsung M5 Bluetooth speaker. It’s perfect for the fairly small room in my new house.
If I could, I’d buy a Peachtree DeepBlue3 speaker. But that would be another $300 I don’t want to spend just yet.
I still do as gifts to my sister but I use Amazon to download albums. I would probably save money with the streaming service instead but I like being able to download the mp3s as a possibility.
