We call it “take out”. But that’s a good idea for once in awhile. A little expensive to do vey often.
I can’t afford it very often. Just once in a while is nice.
it’s hard to do things you don’t want to do.
I do a Leading Task … like for washing the dishes I put them all in the sink and soak them in soapy water. Then see if I feel like doing more. Anything that gets me started will often carry me through doing the job.
yeh if you say to yourself ‘i’ll only do 10 minutes, and stop if i want.’
if you want to stop after 10 mins fine… sometimes you carry on?

i’m trying to paint my room… i hate it
i just do 20 mins and stop… it’s slowly but surely getting done
in my case 20 mins is 20 mins
but i hate painting
20 minutes can seem like a long time.
i agree with once begun it’s half done , it’s usually true

i tried to do it for a few hours at a time… to get it finished… but when i did that i just stopped doing it
now i try to do a little at a time, and it’s getting done

I blindly and stupidly go where no man has gone before. I just put my shoes on and go outside and then things just seem to fall into place.
That sounds like a good idea. I used to go outside to smoke and I miss communing with nature now that I quit the smokes.
You’ve done great to get off smokes, not everyone can.
Find another reward, a nice meal, a nice cup of coffee, a good movie…?
