What’s worse? Schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder?

I just want to hear your thoughts.

Depends on severity of sz or sza

Well sza is having schizophrenia plus bipolar so I would say having two diseases is worse than having just one.

Based on my research schizophrenia has more hallucinations and delusions while schizoaffective has some delusions and hallucinations but also have a mood disturbance

I’m SZA and that sounds about right.

I got the regular paranoid type and never experienced mood stuff. But i have heard and agree with a lot of the takes.

I dont think one is worse than the other. They both suck in their own ways.

I have sza bipolar, but I dont have it any better or worse than someone with sz.

Their sz symptoms are broader than mine and are worse than if I wasnt sza diagnosed.

But I have both some sz symptoms as well as wicked bipolar.

I see them as two different ordeals, both disabling.

Not always, I have schizoaffective and I get severe delusions

I think it probably really depends on the individual. How much insight you have and how much time inbetween episodes, if any at all.

But i have heard that some think that just sz generally has worse outcomes compared to sza.

schizoaffective is just schizophrenia + bipolar. doesnt mean the sz side of symptoms are any less severe than schizophrenia alone. theres no balancing of the condition really just another aspect in addition to just schizophrenia and even among 2 with schizophrenia the severity of symptoms will always vary person by person
