Someone sent me these on Facebook

A friend of mine after years of friendship I told her about the schizoaffective disorder.

She send me these:

Not sure how to feel about this really

With regards to the first image, I really do agree with that. But I think schizophrenia is far more severe.

ha, well, it was a gesture.

It’s sweet, I think. She was trying to be supportive the way social media is, with memes.

How did you get the temperature on the top left of your phone?

I was diagnosed bipolar for years, then got a buncha schizo symptoms, they changed my diagnosis to sza, added an antipsychotic, and life goes on. I still get manic and depressive episodes along with the fun of seeing scary stuff and hearing voices.

Unless I’m convinced otherwise I’m pretty sure sza is just schizophrenia added onto bipolar. At least it is for me. So I assume it’s harder than just sz, because they wouldn’t have the mood swings. I see many SZ on documentaries who, while delusional, are so calm. I kind of envy that calm.

Those are cool images but the second one is kind of scary O_O

It’s more in-between sz and bipolar/MDD. Sz is generally more severe than sza. Generally, not always.

My son’s doctor told me that sza is “like having both sz and bipolar at the same time”. I’ve read in some places that sz is more severe than sza, and in other places I’ve read that sza is more severe than sz. It depends upon who you talk to and who you read.

Just an app on my phone.

According to my medical records at the VA, I’m diagnosed with sz, residual type. I’m also diagnosed with sza, bipolar type. So, I really don’t know which one is correct. I asked my last doctor which one was the correct dx and he said sza, so, I just assume that one is correct. That pdoc is retired now so I should ask my new pdoc what he thinks.

I was kind of tossed back and forth between diagnoses but they seem to agree now on the sza bipolar type.
