I haven’t found anything that really works miracles. I take Flexeril at night but it really just decreases the pain enough so that I can sleep without being woken up every couple hours. Far too sedating to be taken during the day though.

I take Enbrel weekly injections, methotrexate once a week, an Sulfasalazine twice a day. It works well enough.

Try eucalyptus oil mixed with coconut oil in a spray bottle sprayed on when arthritis hurts will help in seconds or daily

There is a medicine called Gelsyn-3 which I get injected 3 times in 3 weeks for each knee that lubricates the knee joint with medium-chain hyaluronic acid. It lasts for about 6 months before repeating. I need a knee replacement surgery but am still too obese to get it done. The Gelsyn-3 helps but it’s pretty expensive. About $2000 a pop per knee per treatment. Still, I felt it worked better than the steroid shots.

I have arthritis basically all over my body. In very bad pain. I used to take Meloxicam. It is a dangerous drug for your kidneys. All drugs like that (NSAID’s), Aleve, Motrin and aspirin too, are bad for your kidneys. They put me into second stage kidney failure. So now, I can’t take any meds like that (NSAID’s), anymore.

Today, I successfully treat my arthritis with twice daily Omega 3 fish oil capsules, and 30 to 40 minutes per day, four to five times per week Hatha yoga. Of the two, I swear by the yoga. For older persons or the physically disabled, I recommend Chair yoga.

You can find Hatha yoga and/or Chair yoga YouTube videos on YouTube.com and apps on GooglePlayStore.

Thank you skinny. My arthritis has subside still pain but not much. I know those pills are dangerous. I took my last one this am. My mom says her side of the family has history of really bad arthritis.

@roxanna you really shouldn’t be taking aleve and meloxicam both. You are going to knock out your kidneys (kidney failure), like I did. I’m worried about you.

I’m so glad to hear this @roxanna. I’m sorry for the next post. I didn’t know you had answered.

Good luck with the arthritis meds. I take metholcarbonal and tylenol daily for mine with Gabapentin for night time for sleep.
