What music did your parents bring you up on?

My brother had every beatles cd. I loved them early on. As early as i can remember. I was always into music. My mom used to sing me a song when i was a baby and i would stop crying immediately

I remember a lot of Van Morrison from my father. I remember rocking out to the song “walking on broken glass” “I didn’t start the fire” that was the 80’s.

the only stuff i got from my mother was her singing me Country Road before bed. It was usually the radio, they didn’t really listen to tapes or anything. then as we got older they listened to our music in the car.

French and Italian music, big band music.

I soaked in my music and formed my musical taste through NY rock radio stations like WPLJ

They told me any music that wasn’t christian was evil so i was afraid of listening to other types of music. That was until i was 17 and started to get into green day, aerosmith and gorillaz by age 19 i had already listened to a load of bands.
