I was really into basenjis as a child haha,
I also had a jack Russel and an Australian shepherd both great dogs.
I also had a “bearded bull” a bearded collie pit bull deliberate mix. He was the best he had a huge heart.

I owned many different breeds of dogs over the years.

One of my favorites was a mongrel

Right now I own a French bulldog puppy and so far he’s been great!

I have had many dogs , known many other dogs through relatives and friends and I have not found a breed that I do not like yet.

Most dogs are great.

As far as looks go though, I am not a big fan of the poodles with the fancy fur cuts.

I also tend to prefer short haired dogs to long haired or ‘poofy’ dogs.

Do you live near the sea or a lake/river? My parent’s springer loved being in water.

Probably German Shephard and Belgian Malinois. I had a half German Shephard and Half Belgian Malinois. It was a puppy and I had to give it to someone else (new owner) because it was too much work…

Golden retrievers. They have a very warm nature. They’re good with kids. And because they are retrievers you can take them to a park with a frisbee and throw the frisbee and exercise them. That would strengthen the bond between the dog and his master.
