What is your excercise/ physical activity regime if you have one?

Mine is 20 minutes of breaststroke 6 times per week.
And then a walk at some point during the week, possibly on the 7th day.

So far I have only just started I will see if I can continue this.

This is effortful for me, maybe it will become easier with time

What’s your excercise regime if you have one?

Since the 1st of April I have been walking 5 days a week for 30min. Not sure how long this will last. I need to lose about 60lbs.

swimming is great exercise I wish I had a place to swim.

right now I lift weights 5 days a week Monday through Friday, sometimes I take a day off. and I also run sometimes, will run more when I buy a treadmill, like everyday for 20 minutes is what I like to do.

I lift my whole body and it takes me about 2 hours to do all the exercises with breaks in between. I have a deadlift platform, with bumper plates, a squat rack/bench press, and dumbells from 5 to 40 lbs. they are in my parents basement at the moment, so I walk over to their house in the morning and work out.

I also have some medicine balls I use to work my obliques.

before I moved here I would walk about 10 miles a day and stayed lean with my weight. I would just walk around the old neighborhood, mostly out of boredom.

If I lost 15kg I would be in the healthy bmi range. I calculated it and it means 7.5 months if I lose 0.5 kg per week. That’s one long wait

you can do it. I had to calorie restrict to lose weight. I started eating more and put the weight back on again. im no longer concerned about my weight though, just would like to add some muscle and shed a little bit of bodyfat%.

patience and consistency is probably the key to losing weight. it’s an uphill battle on meds. I yo-yo’d with my weight for 2 years now. losing some in the spring summer and fall and putting it back on in the winter, im at a healthy bmi though. I was probably little underweight before meds.

I think patience and consistency are so important in this too. Lucky you to be a healthy weight. That’s good.

So you excercise for 2 hours with breaks that’s a lot. I guess it’s a nice way to use up time too.
Do you mind me asking what antipsychotic you are on

Invega sustenna 234mg every 4 weeks. at first I had anhedonia and depression for like the first 16 months on it, but have been feeling better the last 10 months or so. have been working out recently and feel fine, I don’t have the stamina I used too though.

I joined the gym and am so happy I can afford it thanks to my brother paying me to walk his dogs.

I walk his and his wife’s dogs at least twice a week but usually a lot more.

I go to the gym about five times a week maybe it will be six times even.

I only attend classes at the gym such as pump, hiit, yoga etc

I also hope to start riding again.

I had a week or so off the gym because I have been unwell and I still have symptoms of pain and discomfort but it’s not as bad as it was a couple of days ago.

I run 30 or walk for an hour at least once a day, sometime twice a day or 3 times a day. Then I go hiking on the weekends.

Walk 15,000 to 30,000 steps a day. I jog when able and do other things like free weights, cycling and body weight exercise. I’m getting there.

That is quite a lot of swimming. When I went it was normally 45 min once a week, that was enough to keep me at a healthy weight so I think you might have a good chance of losing weight if you keep going. Are you not going to the gym anymore?

You’re welcome

I am finding that I don’t have the motivation for gym for some reason I find it overwhelming for some reason but swimming seems alright so far in comparison

The thing is I eat big portions so I’m not sure if I’ll lose weight but at least I’m doing something for fitness either way and who knows I may lose weight over the long run. Also i don’t swim fast but still it’s something.
