What is the becoming a moderator process

and why are there no female schizophrenic moderators???/

discrimination from the discriminated. and American paranoia.

I can’t say much about the current process of selecting a moderator, but when I was chosen I was forced to wrestle a bear. It was a titanic match from which I barely survived. I think these days there are less bears involved.

brain blessed once punched a polar bear in the artic …I bet you didn’t know that.

Word on the street is the requirement is to now wrestle 3 bears and a small goat.

all joking aside could you answer my question now please.

I answered it in the other thread.

ok thanks…

We don’t actually judge people on their sex - most of the time we don’t even know the sex of the moderators because the names that people choose typically are pretty sex neutral and may not be accurate.

So - with that said - we’re always open to female moderators. We just tend to choose moderators from long term participants in the forum and we are reluctant to have moderators who have schizophrenia just because it can be a stressful activity.

First of all you have to collect 10 coupons of the back of boxes of Kellog’s cereal that enables you to enter moderator factor with an exclusive contract for the winner.

I would like to see at LEAST one female schizophrenic moderator. you do know what sex people are by the way they say my boyfriend or my girlfriend you work it out its not hard. why do they have to be long term participants? sounds like a cliquey boys club to me like a golf club.

BarbieBF is a woman. There is no “boys club” mentality in the moderators.

yeah your one tocan female we don’t need anymore we have 1 . please

We could use more moderators. I’m just saying that there isn’t a gender bias among the moderators. BarbieBF has a strong voice in the moderation process.

but shes not schizophrenic right?bias seems oh the mentally ill women wont be able to cope with the task in hand of moderating a fairly small forum???///

No - we just like to get to know the moderators well before we get them involved.

We don’t have quotas here.

We bring on new moderators as old ones leave or we have the need due to growth. Its not something we plan a lot for - it just happens once in a while.

He speaks truth.

The other thing worth mentioning is that if you become a moderator, it makes it very hard to participate on the boards as a user. You don’t just get to be a regular user as you have to comport yourself according to a higher standard. Easier said than done.
