I have lived in a group home for 14 years and the staff form cliques. This could also be office politics?
I think if you scratch my back, I will put you to scrap

A lot of abuse happens in group homes because of cliques.
Will people believe you ? Or are there cameras in place, so such things does not happen?
No cameras here in my group home but abuse is taken seriously so I am listened to. Its more less able people who are abused the most because they don’t have a voice.

Yes one can resolve it, if one is aware of it.
What can I do is I try to be as safe as possible!

Yesterday my colleague called me and informed manager has informed my shift is changed.
But I have worked the shift my colleague informed, now I think my manager will ask why I worked that shift !
So I have now sent a message to my manager stating the same after work.
Let’s see what the manager will do ?
I think I will go with silence in office politics.
But eventually it will pull me into it !
How to avoid it as there are only two options!
Friend or enemies, If I am a friend I will quit the company soon.
But If I am a enemy I still stick longer

Office politics - talking crap about your colleagues. sometimes behind their backs. I encountered this a lot.
I feel sad we can’t participate in these as we will go over board I suppose.

I won’t lie I have fallen into the trap and done it myself and felt immensely guilty after leading me to quit jobs.
That bad. I too switch companies because of lack of insight but hey it not yet over until one’s retirement!
Actually let me count how many companies I have gone !
In 6 years I have switched 9 companies but not because of company issue but personal issues.
I have had over 24 jobs in the last 14 years. Maybe more that I have not counted. Never got sacked but either the contract terminated or I quit. So don’t feel bad. You’re doing good.
You know only because of so many switch I was not able hide the disabled part this time.
I have informed the company and spoke the truth they selected me.
People try and tear you down and make themselves seem like they are the best so they get promoted and pay rises
It’s really fake niceness and they talk behind your back
