I don’t get much exercise … of late anyway. At best I went from somewhat celebrated track and field high schooler (a runner) to someone who “takes walks.”
But I’ve walked around the same block like 1500 times now. (There’s a part to me that’s dull) so I can do that. But its tough too bc I don’t like running into locals so much.
Sometimes we drive to a park with a nice trail but that has drawbacks too.
@daydreamer, Burpee’s are an exercise originated from the military, I think. I would post a video of it if I knew how to do that. You can look up Basic Burpee on Google to see what it is though, if you are interested.
At this point intense exercise just stressed me out and makes me want to eat more.
I do yoga/stretches every day and almost totally cut out caffeine. Sleeping better.
Cutting caffeine and slowing down habitually seems to help me be more mindful. I really try to take a lot more time on the most mundane tasks. I try not to do this in situations where it will annoy people but if I really take a lot time even cashing out groceries or doing laundry or eating it does calm my nerves.
Doing things too fast is a bad habit that was instilled in me from childhood and probably exacerbated by poor teaching methods in the schools I went to which emphasized speed over significance.
LS! This is my third year of intermittent fasting: I fast Thursdays and Sundays. I exercised daily for the last twenty months. On days that I fast I do two times twenty minutes cardio on my Concept2 rower. Three days a week I go to the gym, I do strength training and cardio. Two days a week I do a workout with dumbbells.
In my basement I have a treadmill and weights. So I go down there a lot. PLUS I have a Tanning Bed I use. It really makes me feel good. The bright lights are awesome!
I do 1 mile on my treadmill no matter how long it takes. When 1 mile feels good I’ll keep going. It feels good to sweat and better myself. Helps me know I can do what I need when it comes to my 26 yr old son.
