really? I’m more into, than not when it happens
seems I’m engulfed and dwell on it too much.

like money, health, jobs, family, etc.
I try to tell myself it’s not the end of the world,
but sometimes it feels like it.
Stress can cause different illnesses in different people. Some get heart disease others cancer others diabetes and others asthma. And others sz. It depends on the person’s genetic makeup
I don’t really agree with that quote, I think it’s more complex than that, but for what it’s worth I can say that two of my three psychotic breaks were set off by extreme stress.
My first break came under the heavy stress of med school, then the third one followed two job losses and heavy financial stress, couple with the pressure of having to find another job ASAP. My then-wife and I were having to rely on her family for financial support. The second one came a few months after leaving med school, though I wasn’t under such heavy stress, not sure what set that one off, if an actual cause could be identified.
But yeah, stress worsens my symptoms.
The quote reminds me of a book I read last year: Rethinking Madness: Towards a Paradigm Shift In Our Understanding and Treatment of Psychosis by Dr. Paris Williams.
Quoting Dr. Williams from his blog “…generally coming to see their psychosis as a natural though very risky and haphazard process initiated by their psyche in an attempt to cope and/or heal from a way of being in the world that was simply no longer sustainable for them.”
Williams puts emphasis on early childhood trauma, and he doesn’t view schizophrenia as a disease of the brain.
I have no idea what causes schizophrenia.
That sounds interesting, I’d like to read that book but it’s hard not to see it as an illness bc we suffer symptoms that cause us distress, i can see it from the other side as well though, just keeping an open mind about it I guess.
I have that Paris Williams book and found it unusual and didn’t agree with some of his views.
if one were to word it differently it might give a better perspective. (punctuation included)
Schizophrenia: a natural reaction to a stressful situation. only every situation is perceived as being stressful, it just lasts longer.
when looked at it like that it doesn’t make too much sense. others here are closer with their interpretation of that being PTSD and OCD related, anxiety too i believe.
to me schizophrenia is more like making a call on a cell phone but the call connects to a number you did not dial. instead of your friend the tower signal get’s crossed and a stranger is on the other end.
The schizophrenic process in itself is a lifelong supernatural interaction to Change self-knowledge concept “forcibly” causing Energy Loss which in turn lead to the feeling with Stress -
This means that;the stress is a Result not a founder factor of Sz itself or/ its common symptoms
Simply,in all conditions, you will feel the stress after done executive work (mental/behavioral) not before ,therefore when you feel stress you have not the enough energy to establishing any work !
are you reading something on sz
or are you just this smart?
The honesty in display the facts is not smartness nor the production of reading books !
He is not sz, he is a writer
What does a writer do here?
Write about us?
Ask him not me. I don’t know, this community is for diagnosed people and i don’t care to be honest
do you do technical writing, @panoramic20
I have a poet friend who looked into it
what do you mean by facts if you don’t live with it?
I think that still can be a matter of opinion.
Doing nothing stresses me out. You have to be enlighten to cope with sz. I am not dumb enough not to stress in our stuffed environment.
Stress is the first thing that happens, we have an inability to deal with it, it gets worse and then ‘bang’ we get as.
He has his PHD from Saybrook university . It rates very low for its PHD program.
I do wonder with @panoramic20 fractured English skills whether he/she is a natural English speaker. Or it could just be an illness related difficulty in expressing themselves clearly.
this is interesting, well put.
i would also go as far to say that all life is stress, a balance between positive and negative stress (which are generalized to such degrees like happy and sad, excited and angry, etc.); part of the required friction to continue moving this universe forward and an inner representation of the universe inside humanity.
that being said, we need positive stress in order to achieve something and the negative stress is the energy that was applied to said goals end result of the positive stress being used.
positive stress is needed in order to accomplish something. gas goes in the car to move it and comes out of the car as exhaust.
the positive stress is then replaced after being depleted with another positive stress whether it is a personal one, community one or one we have yet to understand.
