What do you think about Risperdal?

Is it possible to work on risperdal or go to school? How can someone be high functioning on risperdal? It seems to destroy my will power.

Not many people here take risperdal, but for those that taking risperdal, or you took it, what is the longest time. I been taking for 8yrs. Now. This is the only med i have tried and still on it.

So ive been on fanapt and haldol together and it just wasnt working, now im being switched to risperdal plus depakote for agitation. Can anyone share theyre experience on risperdal like any bad side effects and such. I’d appreciate it.

Ok I just finished going back up to a therapeutic dose of 2.5 mg of Risperdal, and it does not seem to be keeping my manias in check - my temper flares up from time to time - because the people that I am dealing with on the phone, like doctors offices, and insurance companies are a bunch of idiots. I was under a therapeutic dose - under the 2 mg of Risperdal dose and was getting mania and mixed episodes - one was psychotic in nature. So we decided to bump it back to 2 mg - still getting mania and mixed episodes so I bumped it up to 2.5 mg and I can get very angry and irritable at the drop of a hat. I really dont want to go up to 3 mg again, but I may have to call her up and do this, if my…
