I live on a boat. My boat moorage cost is $507 CAD per month. If I don’t like my neighbors I can drop my anchor somewhere else and not pay moorage. Right now I like the convenience and electricity on the dock.
I live with my parents. I let them manage my money so I don’t oversepend and to accumulate money for when they die, I will be alone then or maybe with one brother if he doesn’t get married.
I live in a nice subsidized two bedroom apartment. My portion that I pay is $256. Without the subsidy it’s $970.
I’m in a house, I pay 590$ a month for the master bedroom. I’ve looked into subsidized housing and I might make the change in the future but for now I’m okay paying market rate and making ends meet
I like that I live with my parents as I could never affoard the house we’re in, 3 bedrooms, basement plus 2 floors etc I also put my car in our garage. Thers indoor and outdoor garage that fit 3 cars.
My expenses all in is about £1,500 a month
What happens in winter time? I imagine the cold gets unbearable?
Im just about to move into a small flat that is supported accomodation. I think rent is around £750 a month or so. Its probably twice as big as anything private around where I live. Most flats are like way over a grand a month. Then add all bills on top.
I live in a one bedroom subsidized apartment and pay $480 a month.
My husband and yard both disabled and out mortgage is over $800/mo. We have kids we have to buy a lot for and it’s just crazy. We’re not sure how much longer we’ll be able to sustain this
I live in a two bedroom apartment. I pay $582 a month which is really cheap for this part of California. Just to rent a room around here in the private sector it starts off at about $1100.
Have a single family that is about $550 mortgage
I also can live out of my van if I want.
Are your taxes high?
I get a deduction on my tax bill cuz I’m on disability
Also, property values are up like 20%-25% in my area. Now is. A good time to be a homeowner
i live with a parent. sucks to not be capable of working enough to make ends meet but ssa telling me i dont qualify for ssi
I pay $200 in rent a month to my dad for a large upstairs bedroom. We live in a two story house on a wooded dead end road though still legally city limits. It’s quiet and lots of birds around.
You paint the picture well.
Sounds like a nice house. Does your rent include food?
When I lived with my parents they took out $200 a month for food. But I did not pay rent
It was my late grandparents’ house. It’s over 50+ years old. But I buy my own food and don’t pay utilities except I have been giving my dad a little extra for having my window air conditioner running throughout the summer.
And I help around with chores and outdoor stuff when I can.
It’s a pretty good deal and I haven’t worn out my welcome yet.
My house is 70 years old and I’m the 3rd owner of it. The original owner lived here over 50 years
It’s important I take care of the home so it’s nice for the next person.
I live in small house with roommates. My 85000 dollar mortgage is 1250 per month. I get between 450 and 1450 a month in rent. It should be paid off in less than 10 years then I will probably stop doing roommates. Or maybe I will get sick of them earlier.
Why would you pay off the home early with interest rates at 3%?
