Any of you who have a hard time affording housing think of living on a boat I live on a 1973 Trojan f32 I have a bathroom kitchen net air conditioning my rent is only 300 a month free pool water power and cable tv I bought a power boat for 3000 and fixed it up I would recommend a sail boat they have no props easier maintenance and they are free most of the time
We have no bodies of water here for house boats, but it sounds like fun
Sound like a interesting place to live. Good you don’t have to shell out a lot of dollars for rent!
It’s pretty nice its in a gated community so you don’t have to worry about naibors bothering you there are cameras so the owners can see what’s up and nobody is around co use they are all working except weekends and then they just get drunk and pass out on there boats or there anchors out and partying
Ya marinas are cheap there are no property taxes on water
What about docking fees? My in-laws have a houseboat and their dock fees are kind of high. Not sure in relation to rent.
It can get a little ruff with the moister in the air but. If you run the air conditioner it dries the boat out
I don’t have any dock fees never heard of that I think my dock fees are my rent if you are in la or Miami they can be high I am on the Illinois river
Most marinas are pretty cheap a bigger boat can start to cost like a 60 footer I have a 32 footer
Where do you dock? Do you get electricity? Is that what you’re calling rent? Or do you rent your boat?
On the Illinois river I get free wi fi cable tv water and a pool and power 300 a month
Some of the live aboard they do charge for power but the have like three air conditioners on there boat they did not care about mine
